Warren Ansell

B. App Sc (Physio), Post Graduate Diploma (Sports Physio)

Warren initially trained at Sydney University graduating in 1991. He wandered into a job at the Children's Hospital and tried his best to match the intellect of his patients, and failed dismally! A small stint in the Tumum Hospital and private practice in Townsville brought him to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle. Again with children and was again bested in the mental department. A few month in private practice helped him to forget his shortcomings until he went to Curtin University to study a post graduate diploma in sports physiotherapy. After a year of that he jetted back to Sydney to marry the girl of his dreams and work in private practice.

Escaping the rat-race he dragged his wife to Tamworth to work for a further three years in private practice before striking out on his own in 1999. In that time he has been a Karate instructor, gymnastics coach and judge, Aerobics instructor and competitor. He now likes to pound the pavement as a fun runner and just to add insult to injury has completed two Australian Ironman Triathlons.... very slowly. He is now completing a masters in medical science (again very slowly) to try and understand this whole triathlon thing. The University of Newcastle are quite concerned! He enjoys torturing both the staff and patients with hideous jokes and stories, and loves nothing more than roasting a fresh physiotherapy student over a slow flame. This may have something to do with him coming from Zimbabwe in a boat, or a plane or maybe he swam? No, we have it on good authority that he can't swim, so it must have been a plane.
